Get Cracking...........

I'm all cracked up.......
I'm egg-zosted
I'm looking like an egg-stra terrestial now
I need egg-stra egg-ercise

Egg 1:   Knock, knock.....                                   Egg 2: Who's that?

Egg 1: Egg-cited to see me?                               Egg 2: I'm not due yet. See you later.

Did you have eggs for breakfast this morning?

Eggs are all natural and packed with a number of nutrients. One egg has 13 essential vitamins and  minerals in varying amount, light quality protein, unsaturated fats and antioxidants, all for 70 calories.
Egg nutrients can help you with weight management, muscle strength, eyes health, brain function and having a healthy pregnancy.  Eggs are the perfect choice for breakfast. The protein in eggs provide steady and sustained energy that starts day and night.

The most common eggs used today is chicken eggs, though duck, goose and ostrich eggs are available in some areas.

Bean Sprout Omelet

2 happy chicken eggs
200gm bean sprout
salt & pepper to taste
slice chilli
1/8 slice mozzarella cheese

Simple comfort food, love the crunch of the half cooked bean sprout.

1/  Heat some oil in a frying pan or on a griddle. Add salt & pepper to eggs and beat till your wrist is sore.
2/  Chop a small fistful of sprouts and grate or slice 1/8 to 1/4 cup of cheese.
3/  Spread 2 tbsp beaten egg on the griddle, throw in some bean sprouts, chilli and grated cheese and fold the egg up over the mountain of nutrition.
4/  Flip the omelette and let it cook till you think it's done. Enjoy.

There are endless egg-cellent egg recipes. Here are some egg-xample that I like to share......

INPUT

 OUTPUT

KAPUT

Egg with mayonnaise

2 farm hen's eggs
1 potato
3 tbsp mayonnaise
Salt and pepper to taste

Psst... darling, where are you?

One of the most egg-cellent comfort sandwich.

1/  Boil the eggs until cook, peel the shell and chop into small pieces
2/  Boil the potato until cook and mash it with a fork.
3/  Mix the egg and potato together, add salt, pepper and mayonnaise and mix well.
4/  Chill in fridge until ready to use.

Fried egg is the most comfort food when you run out of ideas.

Psst...... Buddy, answer me..... is that you?

Darling, how did you land in such sticky situation?

Let me show you how to cook chicken pom pom.

Ingredients
1 ball of yellow wool
Cardboard or pom pom maker
Crochet needle/ hair pin
Orange and black felt
Cardboard
Super Glue or any strong glue but don't use egg white

1. Cut two pieces 2" rounds disc for the body with 1/2" small round hole in the middle of them. Cut another 2 pieces 1.5" round disc for the head with 1/4" small round hole in the middle of them. For the mini chick cut  2 pieces 1.5" round disc with 1/4" hole for the body.  For the head cut 2 pieces 1in round disc with 1/8" hole in the middle.

2/  Wind the rounds closely with wool. The more wool you wind, the pom pom will be more fluffy.

3/   Continue until the round is entirely covered. Used crochet needle or hair pin to pull the wool if the centre round circle getting smaller.

4/   Put scissor in between the two circles of the cardboard and cut open the wound wool that lay round the outer edge.

5/  Draw a piece of thread between the two circles and knot it firmly round the stitches that met in the centre hole. Leave sufficient long end of thread hanging to form a loop by which the ball can afterwards be fastened to the heading of the fringe.

6/  Cut and pull out the cardboard once the stitches have been knotted together.

Tie the pom pom together. Trim the pom pom with scissor until it's perfectly round.

Comb the pom pom with this special comb.
Cut 2 piece chick feet and glue to the base of the pom pom
Cut 2 pieces small triangle for the beak
Cut 2 small round circles for the eyes

Have an egg-citing weekend but don't get egg-zosted. Now, what's for breakfast tomorrow?

  64. Hi my sweet friend, Amelia! You are so creative and crafty in everything you do, and you do everything with such fun and love. Your little chickies are so adorable, happy, and very cute...there's no way that anyone could follow your God-given creativity with all the precious things you make that practically come alive.

Love the egg dishes, which I also make quite often...eggs, many different ways. Never get tired of eggs, and they are so healthy for you. I can't even remember if I wished you Happy Blog Anniversary...I'm still lost in 'space'...finally just finished clearing out my family house...so many years of memories donated, and tossed away. Really sad that I only kept a few things, but no space to put things. Have a wonderful weekend, sweetie!
    Big hugs,
